After almost a week of sleepless nights, trials and errors, consulting support team, forums and friends, we’re finally here! The big move has been completed. After having called Blogger “Home” for 2 years now, I have finally resolved to migrate to WordPress to be able to go beyond the limitations put by Blogger.
Bleats now is a self-hosted website, which means that it will develop eventually to more than just a blog, but a fully functioning website that will not only comprise my thoughts, but my music and merchandise as well.
Now, since I am completely oblivious to the world of Web Development (clearly, since it took me more than 5 days to make what should be in clear-weather conditions a subtle move from Blogger to WordPress), I am up to this point unable to redirect my old post links from http://www.valiantsheep.com/blabla to just valiantsheep.com/blabla. So! If you should ever go on an old post link and encounter a 404 error, kindly just remove the “www.” in the link address and everything should work just dandy.
Another downer is that with the move all the social media “Likes” on my previous posts have been reset back to 0, making it look as if I have a very unpopular blog! 😦
Enough drama, what matters now is that Bleats will once again continue to deliver the same thought provoking and heartfelt content you got used to and soon enough my words will not just be spoken but will be sung as well! (I just got a visual of me chanting my blog posts :P). Well you know what I mean.
Thank you for keeping up with me through this major move.
