A Storm All around You – Jon Thurlow

This song is currently on repeat in my playlist. The repetitive piano part with Jon Thurlow’s voice is just magical. I love how it progresses slowly into a big climax while it is in fact a simple chord progression on repeat from beginning to end.

Lyrics:

I know there are creatures all around you,
I know there are lightnings and thunderings
I know there’s a storm all around you,
Holy, Holy, Holy
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa

I see seven lamps of fire burning and I,
I see a sea of glass mingled with fire burning,
I see the Son of man with eyes of fire burning,
Burning, burning, burning

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa

Halle-halle-halleluja
For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns
Everyone in the temple cries Glory
Everyone in the temple cries Holy

There is no one like You in all the heavens
No one like You, in all of the earth
We’re reaching for that open door, Lord show me more
